SCF Marine is the operating unit of the Inland River Services division of Seacor Holdings Inc. With over 25 years of experience as a barge operator SCF Marine currently has control of over 1,200 barges. Seacor Holdings Inc. has committed to expanding its Inland River Services division, through the building and chartering in of high cubic capacity dry cargo barges, super jumbo hopper barges and liquid tank barges. Inland River Services also owns six inland towboats in the 6250 hp class. SCF Marine is a full service barge line offering transportation alternatives on the Mississippi river and its tributaries including the gulf intracoastal waterways. Strategic relationships with other towing companies allow SCF to offer timely deliveries of our customer’s cargoes to their final destinations. Due to our expansion program SCF Marine operates the newest fleet of hopper barges on the inland waterways, providing reliable, quality equipment to its customers. SCF’s list of bulk products transported is extensive, servicing the agricultural, industrial and construction sectors. SCF’s state of the art barge tracking system provides customers with daily positioning notification to ensure timely receipt of goods and services. 
Security and compliance To further enhance the value of our service to our customers, SCF Marine is now operating in compliance with an U. S. Coast Guard approved Vessel Security Plan that was developed to meet the applicable requirements of Title 33, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Subchapter H. By complying with these Coast Guard regulations for maritime security SCF Marine is now able to transport products that are considered to be "Certain Dangerous Cargoes" by the Coast Guard. Our newly implemented security plan provides a high level of security for all regulated products being transported in our barges and helps to improve our nations security by improving maritime security. |
